The aircraft owned and operated by History Flight,
Inc. are a fantastic cross-section of the most popular
aircraft flown in World War II. Our fleet represents
the stages a pilot would progress through during
the course of his flying career: Basic Trainer (N2S
Stearman), Advanced Trainer (AT-6
Texan) and Combat Aircraft (B-25H
Mitchell and P-51
Mustang).
Our aircraft are meticulously restored and maintained to the highest standards of safety and reliability. We have a full-time maintenance director on staff whose job is to exclusively care for the aircraft we operate both at our home base and on our barnstorming tour.
Our aircraft are flown by highly competent and experienced Commercial Pilots with a Certified Flight Instructor Rating granted by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Many of our pilots fly as commercial airline, military and corporate pilots as their primary career and fly as pilots for History Flight, Inc. as volunteers.
The N2S Stearman, AT-6 Texan, and P-51 Mustang fly
under the FAA Standard Airworthiness category and our
B-25H
Mitchell
flies
as a Limited category aircraft under an FAA Part 91
exemption.
